Adult and Child Center, a preferred provider of mental health and child welfare programs in Indianapolis and central Indiana, will deploy UNI/CARE’s Pro-Filer™ Electronic Health Record to improve critical processes in every aspect of the Center's business.

Adult and Child Center is a community mental health center that serves adults with a serious mental illness and children with a serious emotional disturbance in Marion County (Indianapolis) and Johnson County in Indiana. Adult and Child Center is also one of the largest therapeutic foster care providers in Marion County. The Center is an early adopter of several SAMHSA-identified evidence-based practices (EBPs) including assertive community treatment (ACT), supported employment (SE), illness management and recovery (IMR), and integrated dual disorders treatment (IDDT).  SAMHSA selected Adult and Child Center as a recipient of the agency’s 2008 Science and Service Award for exemplary implementation of evidence-based interventions that have been shown to prevent and/or treat mental illnesses and substance abuse.

Adult and Child Center chose Pro-Filer™ as the preferred solution with proven enterprise and fully integrated technology that supports practice management, clinical data management; including the CCD/CCR, revenue cycle management, computerized provider order entry, personal health records, and health information exchanges.  The Center has selected Pro-Filer’s Administrative, Financial, and Clinical Modules, including the managed care and family care functions for implementation across the Center's multiple locations and in-the-field providers.

Additionally, Pro-Filer™ will be implemented by Adult and Child Center to:

• support both the clinical and business operations of the Center,
• strengthen the service delivery process by developing an electronic medical record that adds value to client care,
• enhance performance improvement efforts by strengthening the capacity for internal operational monitoring and meeting the demands of the external bodies, and
• provide decision-support tools that enhance the quality, safety and efficiency of client care.

Adult and Child Center has also elected an array of UNI/CARE’s complementing services. These include conversion services for demographic, insurance, and balance forward data; and an interface with Adult and Child Center's financial solution system.
