UNI/CARE welcomes to the Pro-Filer™ user community Valley Cities Counseling and Consultation, of Washington to its growing family of human service organizations
May 7, 2010
Valley Cities is a private, 501(c)(3) organization providing behavioral health services to South King County residents since 1965. Valley Cities offers licensed mental health counseling and chemical dependency treatment for youth and adults; domestic violence services for victims and perpetrators; homeless outreach services and housing programs which provide the homeless with services and housing; family support programs offering youth and family activities; and specialized veterans services that deliver counseling and family support services to veterans and their families.
Pro-Filer™ was selected following a comprehensive procurement process that included a request for proposal, online and on-site demonstrations, customer references and site visits, and a thorough evaluation of UNI/CARE’s experience and qualifications. Valley Cities' evaluation criteria included, but were not limited to a system that supported scheduling, intakes, assessments, progress notes, treatment plans and related clinical activities, e-prescription capabilities, electronic client charts, and billing related to King County Regional Support Network (RSN) requirements, as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and third party organizations. Valley Cities has selected Pro-Filer’s Administrative, Financial, and Clinical Modules, including the managed care function for implementation across the organization's multiple locations and in-the-field providers. Valley Cities has also elected an array of UNI/CARE’s complementing services. These include conversion services for demographic, and insurance data; and an interface with Valley Cities' financial solution system.
“We are committed to excellence and needed to ensure our clients always receive client-centered, recovery-based and confidential mental health services. After our extensive, comprehensive process UNI/CARE’s Pro-Filer emerged as the best choice for Valley Cities and our clients,” said Faith Richie, Chief Executive Officer.
Valley Cities has retained technology and health care consulting company Xpio (www.xpio.com) to manage the implementation of Pro-Filer™. Xpio worked closed with Valley Cities during the requirements gathering and RFP phase and has a proven track record of successfully managing software implementation in behavioral healthcare, non-profits and government agencies. They will work with Valley Cities to manage the project schedule and deliverables, achieve meaningful use requirements, and develop custom interfaces and reports as required.
